| hey guys, i said this earlier, but i have a great opportunity this summer to go on summer project w/ campus crusade to branson, missouri, and im getting really excited about it. this is a letter really telling about it. i know how short on cash alot of us are, so im just asking for prayer from you guys for the summer. just community, and a great time. i'll keep you guys updated w/ how it's going as the year/ summer is progressing.

Dear Friends, It’s hard to believe that I’m already one and a half semesters into college. To think that one year ago I was still in Germany is mind boggling. Sometimes I miss it more than others, but luckily Texas Tech University is a great place, and I’m so glad that God led me here. I have lots of great friends and have been able to get really involved in things on campus. One specific thing I’ve gotten really involved in and found lots of friends in is Campus Crusade (it’s called Tech CRU on campus). This is actually the main reason that I’m writing you this letter. This summer I have an amazing opportunity to go further the Great Commission. Approximately 60 students, along with myself, will go on a project called Ozark Lakes, taking place in Branson, Missouri. There, we will be able to reach out to the community in many different ways. Though the town has a small population, over the summer it explodes into a diverse community full of people from around the world. Many of the people there have been raised on Biblical teaching but have not truly accepted the Word of God into their lives. An environment like this is unique in many different ways and promising for growth, in essence, some even refer to as a “spiritual greenhouse”. There, I will experience a real sense of unity and fellowship and will be involved in an intensive training program of evangelism, discipleship and leadership. We will be doing whatever is possible in the community to help reach people in the Branson Area as we work 28-32 hours in various jobs. In order to make this all possible, I need to develop a team of ministry partners; fundamentally a team of people like you who would give to my trip to make it possible. I need a total of $2,650 by May 31, which will cover all the expenses for my summer. Will you prayerfully consider joining my team by giving a gift of $25, $50, $100, or more?
